Introduction:

coat of arms

I have had a very interesting life (however it is not over yet) and I think luck has had something to do with it - Boehmer Luck. It is hard to relate all of my adventures in a verbal manner. therefore I decided to write them down for my children and perhaps my grandchildren and maybe my great-grandchildren, to read.

I have two thoughts to guide me in my lifetime, “You make your own luck” and You do what you have to do”. I have been lucky – Boehmer Luck – but I also think that I made some of it happen. Sometimes you have to do things that you do not want to do, but you have to do them, so you do them.

I have had excellent jobs, I really enjoyed my work, so it was not work but fun most of the time. I would not trade my career for any other in the world. It was not only fun but it gave my great job satisfaction. I was able to meet and work with great people from the founders of atomic science to astronauts.

I was able to travel. I have seem most of the world as I traveled to Canada, Mexico, England, East and West Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia (USSR), Poland, Holland (Netherlands), Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Rumania, Yugoslavia, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

I usually consider myself an Aerospace Engineer, but I can and do sometimes call myself a Nuclear Physicist or a Rocket Scientist. I sometimes call myself an attorney when the situation dictates.
